1.    BRIEF HISTORY OF DEPEARTMENT

                 Year of opening of the Department :          1978-79 (I.Com)   1981-82 (B. Com)   2018-19 (M.Com)      

  1. I. Com with sanctioned strength of 64 seats wef. the session 1978-79 vide  DHE,   Odisha letter No. 37/368/78 Dt. 06.01.1979.
  2. +2 Commerce with sanctioned strength of 128 seats w.e.f. the session 2004-05  and affiliated to the C.H.S.E., Odisha vide letter No. 2199 Dt. 22.1.2005.
  3. B.Com with sanctioned strength of 64 seats w.e.f. the session 1981-82 vide   Govt. of Odisha letter No.34717 EYS Dt. 27.08.1981 and Utkal University Affiliation letter No. Aff / 32549/81  Dt.. 02.12.1981.
  4. B. Com (Hons.) in Accounting with sanctioned strength of 16 seats w.e.f. the session 1986-87 vide Govt. of Odisha order No. VE/CS/86 Dt. 12.12.1986.
  5. B.Com with sanctioned seats of 128 w.e.f. the session 1991-92 vide Govt.  of Odisha  letter No. 16932 Dt.15.04.95 and Utkal University affiliation letter No. Aff /120 /16743/95, Dt.07.08.1995.
  6. B. Com (Hons.) in Accounting with sanctioned strength of 32 seats w.e.f.  the Session          1991-92 vide Govt. of Odisha letter No. IVEC/159/90/57529, Dt. 10.12.91 and Utkal University affiliation letter No. Aff/120/18803/94 Dt.28.9.94.
  7.  B. Com with sanctioned strength of 192 seats w.e.f. the session 2005-06 vide Govt. of Odisha letter No.9735/RIDE Dt.28.5.2005.
  8. In the year 2006-07 four more Hons. Subjects viz, Banking & Insurance, Finance, Management, Marketing were opened and the students took admission. 
  9. U.G.C Add on Course “Diploma in Insurance” was opened in the year 2010- 11 with well equipped library. 
  10. Courses of B.Com (Hons) under CBCS syllabus have been continuing from the academic year 2015-16.
