  1. BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT: Nayagarh College, Nayagarh was established in the year 1961 under Utkal University. Mathematics department got affiliation in 1962. The first faculty member of this department and the principal of this college was Prof. Kukriya in 1961. The succeeding members who had made commendable services to this department  were Prof. Marawada Suryanarayan(1966-67), the academic year in which honours in mathematics subject    got university affiliation, Prof. Banamali Mishra(1968-69), Prof. Harakrushna Padhi(1967-70), Prof. Suryakanta, Prof. Sukadev Rath, Prof. J. M. Rao, Prof. Late. Yudhistira Sahoo, Prof. Late. Hatanath Kabisatapathy, Prof. Ramachandra Mishra, Prof. Nilambara Mohapatra, Prof. Santosh Kumar Padhi, Prof. Ratikanta Kamila, Prof. smt. Minati Pradhan, Prof. Sukanta Kumar Sahoo, Prof. (Dr.) Sangram Keshari Ray, Prof. smt. 03. Year of Establishment/Affiliation.      1991

Since 1991 it has been studied as pass subject in the +3 level. Having 64 seats in the year 1991, Utkal University permitted 16 Hons seats for study in the dept.  Dr. P. Devi was the first H.O.D of Education. Her heartily co-operation & energetic activities glorify of the dignity of the department.

11.Health Practices of the Department
