  1. BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT:-

             The Department of MSW (Master of Social Work) was established in the year 2012 with 18 No. of students after the initiative taken By Dr. Arun Kumar Sahoo, Hon’ble M.L.A, Nayagarh.And it is the first regular P.G. Department in Nayagarh Autonomous College, Nayagarh.

Objectives:-

            Now–a-days social welfare has got a special identity in the field of education. The objective of  teaching and training students in the field of social welfare at Nayagarh Autonomous College, Nayagarh has six aspects.

(i.)Teaching

( ii) Organizing training and workshops

(iii) Research and projects

(iv) Field work and rural camp

(v) Exposure visit

(vi) Block placement and case work

Vision:-

        To ensure peace, harmony, integrity, justice and equal opportunities for development of individuals and communities through  planned social work by a committed group of professionals.

Mission:-

Our mission is to strive for excellence in social work education learning and research by upholding work values and the nobility of the profession.
