Girls Division was formed in 1949 and NCC was given an inter-service outlook with addition of Air Wing in 1950 followed by creation of Naval Wing in 1952. Government of India made NCC compulsory in the Country in 1963 in all universities and colleges. That gave birth to creation of N.C.C. Boys Wing in the college in 1963. Golak Bihari Nayak<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>INSTITUTIONAL TRAINING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The institutional training is undertaken on every Sunday in the college.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The NCC<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The cadets will be acquainted with the NCC, Organisation of NCC &amp;<\/p>\n<p>NCC song.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Nation<\/strong><strong>Building<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>the Cadets will be taught the concept of state\u00a0 national interest objective\u00a0 Unity in diversity and cultural heritage of India .<\/p>\n<p><strong>DRILL<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The aim of drill is to inculcate discipline, improve bearing , smartness in appearance, turn out, develop self confidence and the qualities of team spirit\u00a0 and obedience in the cadets<\/p>\n<p><strong>WEAPON TRAINING<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The college has its own Firing range, where 08 cadets at a time can practise firing from a distance of 30 yards. The cadets are trained about rifle and firing.<\/p>\n<p><strong>HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It develops leadership qualities in cadets.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Map reading<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The cadets have elementary knowledge about Map reading.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Field CRAFT, battle Craft &amp; Field engineering<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>the cadets are taught about judging distance field signals fire control order section battle drill etc<\/p>\n<p><strong>Communication<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Types of communication media used, current and future trends are included in the syllabus.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SOCIAL SERVICE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Cadets of the college undertake social service activities to be conscious and sensitive to the needs and problems of\u00a0 the country. The cadets actively participate in AIDS Rally, Pulse-Polio Rally, Plantation Programme, Environmental Awareness etc. They also extend their service as and when required by the District Administration and local NGOs. Every year, more than 20 selected boys\u2019 cadets volunteer their services in Car Festival at Puri. Both boys and girls cadets also participate in the local Car Festival at Nayagarh.<\/p>\n<p>They also organise Blood Donation Camp as a sign of social commitment. They also participate in activities like road safety, traffic awareness, vigilance awareness, legal aid etc in association with the local NGOs and the District Administration.<\/p>\n<p>NCC units of the college also takes up activities in adopted villages.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>ACTIVITIES DURING LAST THREE YEARS<\/strong><\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>2016-2017<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The cadets of NCC Girls\u2019 wing participated in TSC (ThalSainik Camp), New Delhi in 2016 and The Girls\u2019 cadets also participated in Darjleeingat \u00a0in addition to attending Annual training camps.The SD cadets have attended<\/p>\n<p>The Cadets of NCC Girls\u2019 wing received prize for discipline and Boys wing received prize for bestdrill in Independence Day \u00a0and Republic Day 2016&amp; 2017 respectively at District Headquarter Parade at Nayagarh.The NCC Units of the college organised a NCC DAY on First last Sunday ofNovember to create awareness among the public and guardians regarding NCC and for motivation of the youth to choose a career in Defence Services.<\/p>\n<p align=\"center\"><strong>2017-18<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The cadets of NCC Boys\u2019 wing participated in National Integration Camp at besides regular Annual training camps.attended RDC, New Delhi in 2017..<\/p>\n<p>The Cadets of NCC Girls\u2019 wing participated in NIC, Wrangal -2017and also participated in Trekking Camp at Sikkim. DRILL The aim of drill is to inculcate discipline, improve bearing , smartness in appearance, turn out, develop self confidence and the qualities of team spirit\u00a0 and obedience in the cadets WEAPON TRAINING The college has its own Firing range, where 08 cadets at a time can practise firing from a distance of 30 yards. The cadets are trained about rifle and firing. HUMAN RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT It develops leadership qualities in cadets. Map reading The cadets have elementary knowledge about Map reading. Field CRAFT, battle Craft &amp; Field engineering the cadets are taught about judging distance field signals fire control order section battle drill etc Communication Types of communication media used, current and future trends are included in the syllabus. SOCIAL SERVICE The Cadets of the college undertake social service activities to be conscious and sensitive to the needs and problems of\u00a0 the country. The cadets actively participate in AIDS Rally, Pulse-Polio Rally, Plantation Programme, Environmental Awareness etc. They also extend their service as and when required by the District Administration and local NGOs. Every year, more than 20 selected boys\u2019 cadets volunteer their services in Car Festival at Puri. Both boys and girls cadets also participate in the local Car Festival at Nayagarh. They also organise Blood Donation Camp as a sign of social commitment.
