- BRIEF HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT: On the sylvan surrounding at the bottom of the Rukshi Range the college came into existence on the 9th July, 196. The Hon’s in History department opened on 1963. From that day this department continues its mission in quest of knowledge and dissemination of knowledge and enlightenment.

- Courses offered and Sanctioned Strength: The sanctioned strength Ninety Six (96) students every academics session. History Hon’s thought in 3rd Yr as per old syllabus. From 2015 CBCS course was introduced in 2nd and 1st Yr students being taught as per CBCS Syllabus. Besides Hon’s- Generic-SEC taught to the non-History Hon’s students as their own choice in all three years to all 3 year students with performing welcome and farewell ceremony with a study tour to some Historical importance place in every year. Study-Tour, Excursion, Seminars, discussions took place during Non-Academic period.
