POST GRADUATE REGULAR EXAMINATION (SEMESTER SYSTEM)
1. Two Year Master Degree Examination in Arts (MSW) & Commerce
The Course will be of two years duration (Four Semesters). A candidate admitted into P.G. course in Arts (MSW) and Commerce shall have to clear all the semester examinations within 4 (four) years from the year of admission to the course.
2. Eligibility for Admission:
Any graduate or having equivalent degree from a recognized University with 40% marks in aggregate in qualifying examination shall be admitted to the course.
3. Filling of Application Forms :
(i) The candidates shall be required to fill up forms for each of the four semester examinations on the due dates. Filling of forms for the relevant semester examination as and when it falls due is mandatory.
(ii) A candidate who fails to fill up the form in 1st  semester examination shall not be admitted to the next and subsequent semester examination and his/her name shall be struck off from the roll.
(iii) The date, fees and the procedure of filling application forms for semester examinations shall be notified by the Controller of Examinations.
4. Pattern of Examinations
 (i) There shall be one mid-semester and one end semester examinations for every semester.
(ii) Candidates admitted into PG courses shall be required to appear mid semester and end semester examination. Candidate absent in end semester examination will be treated as fail.
(iii) The mid semester examination shall be conducted for 20% of marks of one hour duration in each paper and end semester examination shall be conducted for 80% marks in each paper of four hours duration.
 5. Computation of Results
(i) In order to pass the examination a candidate has to secure 40% in each of the practical paper, 30% in individual paper and 30% in all theory and practical papers taken together.
(ii) Names of the candidates availing themselves the benefit of improvement / repeat examination will not be reflected in the merit list.

6.2 A student's level of competence shall be categorized by a GRADE POINT AVERAGE to be
specified as :
SGPA - Semester Grade Point Average
CGPA - Cumulative Grade Point Average
(a) Â POINTÂ - Integer equivalent of each letter grade
(b) CREDIT- Integer signifying the relative emphasis of individual course item(s) in a semester as indicated by the Course structure and syllabus.

6.3Â Paper Type, Subject, Credit, Grade, SGPA & CGPA in the last semester Result shall be reflected in the Grade Sheet.
6.4 The details of grading system shall be printed on the backside of Mark-sheet.
7. Improvement examination
A candidate who registers his/her name for appearing at a Semester Examination but fails to appear at the same either in full or in part in the first chance or who wants to improve his/her performance in any paper(s), may be permitted to appear in any or all papers of the said examination in two consecutive chances following the first chance.
8. Representation relating to question papers
Any complain relating to the question paper may be filed by the examinees through the head of the department concerned indicating the specific discrepancies in the same day of the examination in the said paper.
9. Application for rechecking of answer scripts
After the results are published there shall be no revaluation of answer Scripts. However, candidates can file application for re-addition of marks awarded on the answers of a paper within 15 days from the date of issue of mark sheets on payment of requisite fees. The Controller of Examination is to authorize  to verify the following:
(a) Whether all answer and part thereof are evaluated.
(b) Whether the marks awarded on each answer are correctly posted on the cover page of the answer scripts.
(c) Whether the addition of marks posted on the cover page is correct.
Discrepancy in any or all of the above three shall be complied by the Controller of Examinations within fifteen days of the last date of the receipt of applications for the same. In case any answer or part thereof is found to be left unevaluated, the Controller of Examinations shall get it valued within the stipulated period.
10. Attendance
A student is required to attend all classes. If the attendance in a class falls short of 75%, he/she will not be promoted to the next semester. General and Practical classes will be counted separately. Shortage of attendance up to a maximum of 15% will be condoned, if
(i) A student was away representing the University/State /Country in Athletic/Sports and Games/Cultural/N.C.C or any other important Socio intellectual event.
(ii) Parents’ appeal on health or on other serious grounds duly recommended by the Head Concerned. (An authentic certificate from appropriate authorities must be produced).
11.DISCIPLINARY ACTION (UNFAIR MEANS IN EXAMINATIONS)
(i) A student found resorting to malpractice (unfair means adopted) in the examination hall during Examination as reported by the Invigilator/Supervisor/Squad Member will be awarded "M" grade having O (zero) Grade Point in that paper and he/she will be warned with a copy to the parents/guardians or a notice in the college notice board.
(ii) A student adopting malpractice and showing an indiscipline behavior in the examination hall will be awarded "M" grade having O (zero) Grade Point in that paper and he/she will be             warned by the college with a copy to the parents/guardians or a notice in the college notice board.
(iii) A student found adopting malpractice in more than one papers in a Semester/Trimester/ Special Examination  Will be awarded "M" Grade with 0 (zero) Grade Point in all the papers of that Semester/Trimester/Special Examination; he/she will be warned by the college with a copy to the parents/guardians or a notice in the college notice board.
(iv) A student adopting malpractice (as defined in earlier clauses) once again in the subsequent
semester examinations inspite of the warning issued previously Will be awarded "M" grade having 0(zero) Grade Point in all the papers of that examination and will be expelled from the college for one year
(v) A student found violating the Examination Code of Conduct [ which includes:
Use of programmable calculators, mobile phones/smart watch (even in switch off mode), document or any electronic devices having memory chips.
Leaving the Examination Hall within the first hour from the commencement of the examination.
Talking to other examinees in the Examination Hall.
Trying to give any help to others or trying to seek any help from others inside or outside the Examination Hall ]
•    Will be expelled from the Examination in that paper and will be awarded "M" grade having O(zero) Grade Point in that paper; he/she will be warned by the college with a copy to the parents/guardians or a notice in the college notice board.
•    A student found repeating the "Violation of Code of Conduct" will be awarded "M" grade  with O(zero) Grade Point in all the papers of that semester and will not be permitted to  appear at the subsequent examinations of that semester.
(vi) A student indulging in the misconduct in the examination hall
[Which includes:
-Using question papers and/or answer scripts for communicating with fellow examinee.
-Exchange of question papers and answer scripts (with other examinees/outsiders).
-Writing answers in question papers.
-Writing obscene or filthy languages in answer scripts.
-Writing derogatory remarks.
And taking away the answer scripts or any examination materials/papers to the outside of the examination hall without intimation/permission from the concerned authority of the examination.
Any remarks, requests or irrelevant issues in answer scripts]
• Will be awarded "M" grade having O(zero) Grade Point in all the papers of that examination and will be expelled from the college for one year.
(vii) Any student found man-handling/threatening the officers/staff connected with the officers/ staff connected with the examinations (Invigilator, Centre Superintendent, Supervisors, Principal, Members of Flying squad, etc.)
• Will be awarded "M" grade having O(zero) Grade Point in all the papers of that Examination and will be expelled from the college for one year.
• Other disciplinary actions as deemed fit (including FIR to police) would be initiated by the
University/college.
(viii) Any student found damaging the property of the staff/officers/institution connected with the
examinations
•    Will be awarded "M" grade having O(zero) Grade point in all the paper of that Examination and will be expelled from the college for one year.
•    Will be obliged to provide compensation for the damage as assessed by the college.
